African American Heritage: Prince George’s County
Travel with us to take a closer look at the buildings and sites associated with Prince George’s County’s African American history. We’ll visit the Charles Duckett Freedman’s Cabin, Columbia Air Field – the first African American airport, Northampton Slave Quarters and Dorsey Chapel, along with many other African American historical sites. Fee includes coach bus transportation, admission fees, and lunch. This trip departs from the parking lot at Prince George’s Equestrian Center, 14900 Pennsylvania Ave., Upper Marlboro.
All ages welcome.

Baseball Festival: African Americans in the History of Baseball
Learn about the contributions of black athletes from the Negro Leagues to present day, major league baseball. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk down Memory Lane in our baseball exhibit, find out how fast they pitch, swing in the batting cage, catch baseballs in the outfield, engage in drill and activity games, and more! Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase.
